We are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you with any of your clients’ emergency and critical care needs. If you are planning to send one of your clients to us, please call ahead to discuss what your patient may need: 860-347-8387.
Pieper Memorial’s aim is to see every patient in need of emergency care as soon as possible. Patients will be triaged upon arrival. If the patient is determined to have a life-threatening emergency, the pet will be seen immediately. All other cases are seen in order of degree of urgency, instead of order of arrival.
Specialists are usually available for in-hospital consultations during normal specialty business hours as listed below. In-hospital consultations with specialty departments (including emergency ultrasounds) are not always guaranteed on the same day, especially if the patient arrives on a weekend or towards the end of our normal specialty business hours. Weekend emergency ultrasound and endoscopy is available on an as need basis as deemed necessary by the emergency clinician.

Internal medicine outpatient ultrasounds are completed by appointment with our Internal Medicine Specialists Monday through Friday. An outpatient ultrasound is a focused imaging appointment only. An Outpatient Ultrasound Referral Form is required for all outpatient ultrasounds.
