Meharans Singh Hundal, BVSc & AH

Dr. Meharans Singh Hundal is a surgical resident at Pieper Veterinary who has been part of the team since 2022. Born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, Dr. Hundal grew up in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. He earned his veterinary medicine degree from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University where he was awarded the university gold medal and graduated with distinction. Dr. Hundal relocated to California where he worked as a general practice veterinary for a few years before decided to pursue his interest in surgery. He completed a surgical internship in New York at Long Island Veterinary Specialists and an additional year-long surgical internship at Pieper Veterinary prior to beginning his residency here.
Dr. Hundal is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, and the AO veterinary foundation. He has a special interest in orthopedics, abdominal surgery, anesthesia, and sports medicine.
During his time at university, Dr. Hundal was an avid sportsperson and was part of the track and field team, cricket team, and basketball team. When not working he enjoys both playing and watching sports (basketball, football, and golf), hiking, traveling, cooking, and trying new foods. He enjoys giving back to the community and helping veterinary students and new graduates, and his favorite part of being a veterinarian is the teamwork involved in helping his patients heal and reunite with their loving families.

Veterinarian - Resident
Brianna Coyle, DVM
Dr. Brianna Coyle joined the Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center team in September 2024 for a year-long specialty internship with our Neurology & Neurosurgery department. Originally from Long Island, NY, Dr. Coyle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, where she also served as a teaching assistant for small ruminant and swine practicum courses. She went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine in Tucson, AZ, and further honed her skills through a small animal rotating internship at VCA Valley Animal Hospital and Emergency Center.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Coyle enjoys an active lifestyle filled with scuba diving, fishing, skiing, running, and playing soccer. She is a certified open water scuba diver through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and shares her home with her beloved pets: Penny, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and two cats, Lulu and Gojo. Dr. Coyle is passionate about improving the quality of life for both her patients and the people who care for them. She loves the daily challenges and continual learning that come with veterinary medicine, and she finds it deeply rewarding to make a tangible difference in the lives of animals and their families.

Leslie Concepcion, VMD

Dr. Leslie Concepcion is an associate veterinarian at Pieper Veterinary and is undergoing a year-long internship with our Neurology specialty department. She is originally from Miami, Florida and attended Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Chemistry. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated magna cum laude with her degree in veterinary medicine, and completed a rotating small animal internship at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in New York City.
During her schooling Dr. Concepcion achieved a VBMA Honors Business Certificate and was the Vice President of the Latin Dance Organization, and achieved an Opportunity Scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a special interest in the field of neurology and neurosurgery.
Dr. Concepcion lives with her dachshund, Benny, and her favorite aspect of her job is helping to advance and strengthen the human-animal bond between her patients and their families.

Veterinarian - Resident
Bethany Cleaver, DVM

Dr. Bethany Cleaver is an associate veterinarian currently undertaking a year-long internship with our surgery specialty department. Dr. Cleaver was born and raised in the Cayman Islands, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in zoology and minor in animal behavior. She obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from St. Matthew’s University, and has a special clinical interest in small animal internal medicine and surgery. She completed a rotating internship at Pieper in 2023-24 and moved forward into a surgical specialty internship for further specialization.
Growing up on an island, Dr. Cleaver spent much of her life around the water and entered a competitive swimming career which took her to many international competitions. After she graduated high school, she backpacked through Southeast Asia and traveled to South Africa to volunteer at a primate rehabilitation center. Over the next six months working at the center, she found herself with a passion to work towards a career with animals. Dr. Cleaver’s long-term goal is to bring more advanced medicine and practices to the Cayman Islands so that she can continue to modernize the field of veterinary medicine in her small community.
